It's been over a month since we sent our first email about cheating on the Soundclick charts; other than a few temporary suspensions, absolutely nothing has changed. Producers are still cheating and Soundclick staff continue to do nothing about it.

So why has nothing been done? One word: INACTION.

Soundclick's loyalty is to profits, nothing more. They don't care that hundreds of producers are being screwed by these cheaters as long as producers keep paying their monthly membership fees and buying promotions.

ITS BEEN CONFIRMED. We've monitored the charts for weeks and this whole new Beat Brokerz affiliation is play boosting! You'll notice their spotlight charts are full of big name producers ranked at the top of Soundclick! How do you think that happens??

It's absurd. There's no other explanation.

Play boosting? Why, because Beat Brokerz links to producers soundclick pages to help promote them? Well, in that case... yeah, I guess you could call it play boosting.

What it sounds like to me is that you're crying because your competitors are kicking your ass. Instead of trying to "cry your way to the top", how about you focus on finding new ways to market yourself like everybody else!

I acutaly believe this is true.  You cant even purchas a Front Page spotlight because all these artist that are in the front have already purchased these spots..i am a soundclick vet i joined soundclick back in 2001 i was the top producer AKA DarksideZ ProductionS The Dark Beat king During the times of Rockit PRoduction, Shadowville Productions, and so forth.  But what is funny is was number one and i was number on BECAUSE of me paying for Front page spotlight...Ok hence it makes since paying for the front page helps alot but tell me why these guys that are on top make more than 1 million plays in less than a year?  Ok excus me for wondering but i was number one back in 2006 and i couldnt even reach 1 million plays in 1 year yet i was number one?  I held that spot for 7 months straight till i got deployed to afghanistan when i was in the marines.  So now ok lets do some more investigating...i remake my name bring it back Funny i still get plays and people remember me! but sad thing is i purchase the front page spotlight 2 times in 2010 and thats when Vybe beatz came along and started blowing things up...now how did he do it simple. I gave him all my vsts via AIM conversations.  now im not saying hes not a good producer but im saying some sh** changed once you give people what they want...now if these guys are cheating and i really do believe they are i recommend people all vote to leave soundclick and do another site maybe start moving to dmusic?  or lets create a site for everyone.

I've been selling on Beat Brokerz for a few months already. Am I cheating too?

Actually, I've been on the spotlight promo and I do usually get some more plays to my Soundclick page, but cmon guys... really it's all about the sales. I've made a good amount of sales from Beat Brokerz already and that's what its all about!

I know some producers have cheated theyr way to the top but in all honesty you might get more business on page 2,3 etc because an artist doesn't want to purchase a lease that tens of thousands of people already downloaded.. page 1 does not gaurentee money if your beats are whack. It just sends them looking deeper to eventually finding those of us that have talent...I'm not saying page 1 isn't a good thing.. its great to be up there but if u promote enough to get seen on the radar then slowly fade off you will see the same amount of business or even more because the bottom line is artist don't wanna jump on a track a million ppl already have.. that's my 2 cents.. www.zonebeatz.com... props 2 all the producers grinding every day and never letting somethin like a cheating phoney slow u down!

People have a lot of misconceptions when people make vague accusations full of slander and misinformation. People don't understand the tools we provide that help people achieve their goals of being recognized as a quality producer.
I would like to ask those who make false claims this: How exactly do we cheat? If you are so qualified in this field of expertise, where are the facts to back up your claims?
You can make a claim that the sky is red, and anyone who hasn't gone outside might just believe you. But me? I've been outside, and I have seen for myself that the sky is not red, it is in fact blue. So now I ask those who claim it's red, what is their basis for making these faulty claims?
Don't be led into believing something just because someone claims it is truth. Think for yourself and find the facts. Beat Brokerz is 100% not guilty of these false accusations.

So self advertisement for additional exposure = Cheating?

You need to either become a better producer, or quit all together. Self advertisement != cheating at anything. If people enjoy your music, they're going to spread your product around like a plague. People don't get millions of hits out of nowhere.

I'm not a producer, I'm not sure how you got my email.. But let me give you some insight from a consumers stand point.. Your talking about play boosting to get number one spot.. Well, let me tell you that I lurk in the back pages of soundclick looking for that hot producer who has good beats but doesn't get any recognition. That's who gets my money at the end of the day. Why? I don't want to buy a beat 1,000,000,000,000 people have downloaded even if its with tags. Here lies the age old question, fame? or money? Your in the business of selling beats.. There are tons of avenues.. Soundclick is my LAST resort.. Low key sites and twitter come first!

I imagine you got my email because I purchased a beat or beats from you. The second you reach limelight, my sales will stop. Yes, you will gain others, but you might lose the ones you already have. Soundclick is a gift and a curse, be careful what you ask for.

Some artist have brains and pick and buy beats strategically.. Others free download with tags.. #1 equals plays....... Not sales......

How would monitoring the charts prove that someone is play boosting?

There are better and less expensive methods for "cheating" plays. I don't know why people are so obsessed with the play booster method. If anything, the ones who are cheating don't even use bots.

Defiantly agree with this movement, about 4 months ago I was banned from Soundclick for accusations of play boosting to gain chart views, when simply I have links to my soundclick page on multipul other websites. I proved it to the Soundclick staff through e-mail via my statistics page from my personal website. They refused to believe me and still proceeded to ban me after I have been paying them for a VIP page for almost a year. In the e-mail threads the e-mails also got all the way to the V.P. of the company where he bashed me for arguring with the other staff members. I brought this exact topic were talking about to his attention and he denied every bit of it. I have the e-mail thread if you guys need it for any reasons as well. I am forwarding this all over my twitter page and to other producers who use or have previously used Soundclick to help with the movement.

Ive done my research on this subject and it has come from a few places. a couple ebooks broke down the whole "song of the day" thing and began to mess up the game. There are a few other ways that producer use to make sure they stay on top that i wont talk about but i will say, it is not possible to get to the top of the charts and stay there. yes they own the automatic way to get there but there are some great ways to get to the top of the charts. me personally im not worried about soundclick right now in my beat selling plans but will bein the near future. instead of worrying about them cheating or how they got there, find your own unique and powerful way to steal their place, trust me, their are some crazy ways to get there, legit. im just not about to give out my plans like the other guys who can't even get to the top anymore :).
